Otherwise sleepy streets in Varanasi was vibrant yesterday and the atmosphere was filled with festive mood. No, it is not because of any festivals but the presence of an energetic actress induced energy.
Kangana Ranaut was in Varanasi yesterday to launch her new project “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi”. She, who is also a co-producer of the movie apart from playing the title role, officially launched the movie by placing a 20 feet poster at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. The gathering which comprised hundreds of fans cheered her by chanting slogans.
After the launching the movie, she visited Kashi Vishwanatha Temple to seek blessings. She participated in Gaga Aarti and took holy dip in Ganga. After the busy schedule of the day, she spoke to a few reporters who were present on the occasion.
She told that Jhansi Ki Rani taught us to live with dignity and a life without dignity is equal to death. She pointed out that this is relevant even today and that is why she was interested to picturize the life of a legendary queen. She confirmed that the movie will be released on April 27, 2018.
